Id produced this game and introduced us to the 3D gaming world, computer games were to change forever.

Doom and Doom II.
This sill os one of my favorite games of all times, ok so I only play DM link up, but Id's Doom stopped the world from playing anything else. Doom then went on to the consoles but, I don't think it had the same atmosphere as on the PC. Don't knock this game, as it got people wanting 3D shoot um ups!!!

This game got all the things that Doom hadn't put in and turned them into a good game.

 
Many games did follow in wake of Doom, but Id came back with another great No1
Quake was, so amazing at that time. People went out and got it, and turned up at work weeks later saying that they were stuck on a level, and if single player wasn't enough, along came new Death Match. I still play it and hundreds of others do as well, was anything going to beet this?

QUAKE
Id came back after a short break with the "mother of all games" "the best game ever" "hit of the year" oh yes its Quake II with a lovely 95%-98% reviews came to prove a point, and it did. In its day the monster AI was amazing, with good old single player. I could go on for weeks about this game, but then my web site would be 1 page long, but the multiplayer, oh yes the multiplayer. One of the greatest ever, with more and more mods coming out, it is amazing.

QUAKE II

When Unreal came out people were just a bit impressed. After Quake II lead the way for 3D FX and great software graphics, Unreal improved any graphics that were about. Unreal was about before Quake was out, ok so it was on the black board, but a game that had been in production for that time had to be good, but a few things let it down and that is why it never really picked up. They were the guns, I only like going around with the assault riffle and snipering people off, the rest are crap. Multiplayer really let the game down, but with bot match included it did get good marks!

The Next was Sin, the graphics were very good, but the game could not compete with Quake II and Unreal

HALF-LIFE
I have Half-Life but wasnt that impressed by it apart from some marine levles, but the single player was just so intence. The enemys and the guns are very good. Some of the levels were very dull. This game still is a very good game. Im not sure what to say about it, is it better than Quake II? Im not sure, just buy it and play it

Unreal Tournament
After playing a fairly huge demo of this great game, I was shocked. One thing because of the graphics, and two because it ran on my P166, ok so its not suppose to but it still runs. The graphics are great and they have got rid of all the naff parts of Unreal and put in extras which make it exallent. The guns are better than ever and the levels are what you would expect of a single/multiplayer game. the single player game consists of Bots and you have games from Deathmatch to Domination to CTF to Team Deathmatch. The bot AI is great, learning you very own style and using it agaist you. The gore is great but can be turned off if your screamish. If Quake III is going to be better than this, it will be the mother of all games, but UT runs on a 166 not a Quake III 266+. Ladies and Gentlemen we have a battle of the great games.
Unreal Tournament

Homeworld
Ok this is where the page strays away from you running around with a big gun killing things. This super 3D space combat/stratergy is rather good. You have your mother ship and that is basically your base, if it gets destroyed its game over. You have resource collectors that fly about collecting minerals from astroides. When you have resources and you have some research you can unleash some forces and these vary from small fighters to damn huge cruisers with devastating weaponary! In the sigle player game you go about as a group of people to find your Homeworld, but is dosent go as expected and you get attacked and allys destroyed. You then have the multi player. All against all or team deathmatch over the internet. Homeworld is alot like having your own space battle for you to control. Not only is this game fun but it has rather good graphics, infact some of the best I have seen. Like C&C? get this killer space sim.

ALL THESE GAMES SHOULD BE REMEMBERED FOR BEING SOME OF THE GREATEST GAMES ON EARTH
